Beat the Parents came out in 2004...I think our kids hoped that it included Nerf bats instead of trivia cards. Beat the Parents had a couple things going for it besides the fun name.
The board plays fun and setups up conflicts as the parents start on one side and the kids on the other. Players have to move across the board...first one to get all their tokens across wins. This setup creates road jams and some checkers like moves.
Also the questions are separated by adult and kids so it plays fair and fast.
Our kids and grandkids never really got into this game. We probably only played it 20 or 30 times.
The Good: Good board design.
The Bad: Just fell short on excitement.
The Dastardly: Lots of potential...maybe needs some house rules to spice it up.
