Tri-Ominos is a version of Dominos that was created in the 1960s by Frenchman Allan Cowan. Allan kept getting rejected by game companies until he was signed by Pressman Toy Corporation.
Tri-Ominos only uses the numbers 0-5. Each game piece is a triangle with a number on each point. To be played, the piece must be adjacent to at least one other piece and the two sets of numbers must match.
Scoring is simple: Add up the three numbers on the piece played and score it. Some bonuses are created by forming special shapes. Or playing tiles that are triples.
First player to 400 points wins.
The Good: Quick, fun game with a bit of logic. The Bad: The pieces can hurt if you step on them! Ouch!
The Dastardly: Tri-Ominos has sold over 22,000,000 copies.
